Do Cervical Biopsy Cause Bleeding?

Hi,
I had a cervical biopsy as My smear test came back with abnormal cells. I had the biopsy 6 days ago with only a small amount of brownish blood for two days the next day nothing. Now two days later woke up with bad cramping again and seem to have my period which is pretty heavy I'm not due for my period for a few weeks so can a biopsy bring on a period? or and I still bleeding from the biopsy? help!
