Do Delay In Periods Cause Cramping And Pains?

Hello, I am a 21 year old female. I have been taking antihistamines three times a day for the last two months due to hives (cause unknown). I am without a doubt not pregnant, but my period is about 8-9 days late. I keep getting cramping feelings and regular pains, but no period. Any idea? Thank you.
