Do Periods Start Normally Despite Discontinuing Contraceptive Pills?

Hi. So I've been on Ortho Tri Cyclin Lo since Jan. 2008 and have been taking the pills consistently. So I was in the middle of a pack and lost my pills, with that said I wanted to know a couple of things:
1. Will my period come at its regular time of the month despite not being on the pills?
2. Is it ok if I start another pack of pills after having my period?
3. When will it be ok for me to have unprotected sex after starting up the pack?
