Do Pregnancy Risks Increase When Switching Birth Control Brands?

When switching from a brand name birth control to the generic form does your risk of pregnancy go up? I was told by my doctor that since it is the same hormones and the same amount of them that the risk is not increased as long as I am still taking them at the same time every day.
