Doctor, I Am A 72 Year Old, 5' 10", 330#

Doctor, I am a 72 year old, 5' 10", 330# male, 20 year duration Type 2 diabetic currently on insulin for blood glucose control. For the last month, I have had swelling in my lower legs / ankles and feet, which has become somewhat extreme. I am currently taking 3 Lasiks daily and they do not seem to be having any effect any longer. My family doctor is not available until next week so I am seeking more immediate advice. George
