Doctor Am Having A Itchy Vagina Since A Month Comes

Doctor am having a itchy vagina since a month comes on & off....went to Dr & she gave me ecoflora capsules to have for 10 days...am having it since 4 days & I got my periods now but it's bleeding heavy....is it because of the side effects of the ecoflora Dr? Also she asked me to inject candid v gel on the days when am clear of periods...kindly advise
