Doctor My 1.3 Year Old Son Had Cough So As

Doctor my 1.3 year old son had cough so as prescribed by paediatric gave Ascoril 2.5ml 3 times a day . After 3 days at night he ws nt able to breathe so doc gave maxtra 0.5ml. After one dose only at night he had cough after 15 min and not able to sleep.can it be bcz of these med..plz advise.
