Doctor, My Wife Is Pregnant Again. She Has Always Been

Doctor, my wife is pregnant again. She has always been on primolut depot anytime she is pregnant up till about 30 weeks. We have one daughter now. She has had 4 miscarriages. Now a doctor said she should stop as it can have effect on the baby especially if the baby is a boy. We don't know the sex yet. We have not been able to see our doctor that recommended the drug. What is the effect of continuous usage of primolut depot?
