Does Aculip H Taken For Stomach Problems Cause Depression?

My father has gas problems for years now a lot of burping and stomach problems at nights. A doctor puts him on Aculip H. of late I notice that he is more depressed and hardly sleeps at nights. Can that treatment I mentioned before cause increased depression? I also noticed that he now seem to be attached to them.
