Does Amoxicillin Intake Make Birth Control Pills Less Effective?

Will taking amoxicillin for ear infections cause birth control gildess (loestrin) to be ineffective? I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend while on amoxicillin but continued to take my birth control as directed the whole time and im scared that it might make my birth control fail? I'm really good at taking my birth control how I should same time everyday that it slipped my mind that I was on the antibiotic and now I'm really worried. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
