Does Diane Pill Cause Weight Gain?

Recently I got to know that I have PCOD. Doctor prescribed me Diane 35 for 6 months. But I found that one of the side effects of this medicine is weight gain. I am already over weight and dnt want to gain weight for this medicine also... So what should I do? Should I take it or not? I need your advice..
