Does Ferrous Sulfate Cause Discomfort In The Head With Dizziness?

I am taking Ferrous sulfate by Dr order but withing 30 min of taking it my head feels very tight and if I go from sitting to standing I feel like I could pass out, I do not have this issue on days I do not take is this side effect serious enough to stop taking it till I can see my Dr?
