Does Gemfos Tablet Cause Exoskeletal Pain?

i am 77 yrs old and osteopenia has been diagonosed for which dotor advised Gemfos 35 mg (Risedronate Sodium ) to be taken once a week.I took the fist dose yesterday morning and by the late evening I developed severe exoskeleton pain. Kindly advise if it is side effect and should I take the next dose after a week or stop this medicine. Iam diabetic for last 42 years.Thanking you.My email YYYY@YYYY
