Does Montelukast Help To Treat Hives?

I have hives since Thanksgiving. I am currently taking 65mg of antihistimines per day. They consist of 20mg of Zyrtek, 20mg of Claritin and 25 mg of Benedryl. I have learned in the last week that I have a low to moderate allergic response to milk. So, I am avoiding milk, cheese and butter. The hives have decreased in number and the intensity of the itching has decreased as well but yet the hives persist. Any suggestions? I have been told by my allergist that montelukast may help. Do you agree?
