Does Polyethylene Glycol Have Side Effects On Long Term Usage?

Hi, my question,I m taking polyethylene glycol 3350 NF every day under a Drs. Care since 2006 after colon Surgery. It helps but am wondering if this is ok. I read the information on the bottle Rllwhich tells me to only use it for short periods of time.
