Does Primolut Help To Cease Bleeding During Menstruation?

I woke up with a light period (dr has told me to skip for three months at a time)
I had some spare primolut which stopped me bleeding before when I had my period non stop for 6 months- then had surgery etc.
Will primolut stop my period in its tracks?
