Does Primulet N Prevent Pregnancy?

I have a girlfriend who had an abortion without my consent in 2008, she later complained of uterine bleeding. now in 2010 she told me that her doctor asked her to get primolute n. Please I want to know if primolute n can be used to prevent pregnancy because some one told me not to get it for her because it could be used as a contraceptive. please help me solve this issue
