Does TAVR Procedure Pose Threat To Bacterial Endocarditis?

My father will be having the TAVR procedure for placement of an artificial heart valve. He has a permanent suprapubic catheter. How much risk is this for bacterial endocarditis? I can t find any articles with research/info/stats, etc. Are there special precautions to take? I bought him uti dipsticks to test weekly once it s in place, as he doesn t seem to know he has a UTI until it is full blown Any other suggestions?
