Does A Bad Tooth Cause Pain In Head And Neck?

hello i have a problem one of my teeth in the back broke and if i stick my tongue in it to get food out or something it makes the right side of my head hurt and it also makes my neck hurt and the pain is so bad all i can do is take meds and go to sleep and now theres this nasty bitter stintch and tase that comes out of the tooth.whats wrong with me?
