Does A Detached Toe Nail Grow Back?

I was playiing soccer and my toe nail lifted and I made sure my toe didn't get infected now almost 2 years later my toe nail lifted from one side and started to poke my toe sso I cut part of it and I saw that more than half wasn't attached so I cut it now it looks like a toe with half the nail missing will it grow back?
