Does A Small Cyst In Lower Stomach Need Surgical Removal?

I went for a ultra sound yesturday because i have alot of pain in lower stomach. The results came back, the doctor said that all i have is a 3mm cyst which should go away on its own. I have had the pain for 6 weeks now. do you think i should get a second opinion?
