Does Allergic Reactions To Atacand Cause Severe Rash?

I have broken out in a severe rash, and have had it for months. Yesterday my GP said he thinks I am having an allergic readtion to Atacand. HAve you heard of this before. I stopped taking it today. If it is causing the rash, how long before It should begain to clear up?
