Does An Occasional Pain In Chest Need Medical Attention?

I had the occasional pain in my chest. Not something that I would be concerned about. I m an 85 yr old lady t who weights 113 lbs . This is a new Dr I ve just met and I sincerely believe this to be an overreaction on his part. He,s on holidays so I can.t see him till 13 March Since i.ve only been taking metoprolol tartrate 100 mg for 2 weeks I feel terrible. May I stop?
