Does Antibiotics Decrease The Effectiveness Of Birth Control Pills?

Hello, I am on Loestrin Fe 24 for about six months now. I was taking an antibiotic (Amoxicillin) and I had unprotected sex (besides the birth control pill I'm taking). Well, I know that antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. However, I was wonder if it was normal for an antibiotic to affect the pill by making me skip a period?
