Does Anxiety Cause The Feeling Of Losing Consciousness?

From years, every once in a while a get a strange smell and fell like I m going to faint, but I never do faint. I ve had CAT scan and MRi , blood work and nothing showed up. I do have an anxiety disorder and wonder whether this contirbutes to this strange aura that I feel!
