Does Bleaching Help In Reducing Acne Marks And Scars?

I'm suffering from an acute acne problem since 7years. Now the growth of acne has reduced considerably but is has left scars and marks on a major portion of my face. Home-made remedies do not seem to show even the slightest improvent. I need to know if there is a permanent solution to this problem. I need to know about chemical peels. Does bleaching help reduce these scars and marks?
