Does Blocked Tear Duct Cause Clear Drainage And Bleeding From Nose?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...My 90 y/o father has continuous clear fluid drainage from his nose for about a year or more. Now he just had a severe bleeding nose that had to be stopped in the ER. A few years ago a doctor said his tear duct in the right eye was totally blocked and that might cause the drainage. He apparently has had a silent stroke at some time in the past 2 years and has difficulty now with speech. Do you think this drainage and bleeding is related to a blocked tear duct or could it have some other cause?
