Does Brownish/reddish Vaginal Spotting Indicate Pregnancy?

hi, i normally get my period ON TIME, if not earlier. i have been late this week, by 2 days. i have had cramping earlier this week with no blood. and today i had brownish/redish spotting with cramps. not normal menstrual cramps, like gas cramps. could i be pregnant? could i be pregnant and miscarrying?
