Does Burning Sensation In The Vagina Indicate Cancer Or STD?

Hi, I am experiencing some minor burning in the pelvic area and the vaginal area. My doctor tested for a urinary tract infection and that came back negative. No foul odor, no discharge. This has been occurring for almost 2 weeks. No pain during sex, or any other time, just a burning sensation. Had a hysterectomy about 10 years ago. Should I be concerned about cancer or an std?
