Does Combination Of Remeron And Pristiq Increase Depression?

Thanks. I need the advice of a psychiatrist as my local one is out of the office for several months. My psychiatrist placed me on 30 mg Mirtazapine several years ago for insomnia. It helped me to sleep (coupled wit h Ambien CR which I have taken for a long time), but I have terrible dreams every night. The dreams have gotten worse, and I have gained considerable weight. She gave me Pristiq one year ago, and that is when the depression finally lifted. So I have just tried to wean myself very slowly off of the Mirtazapine. I am feeling depressed again. Is it just my life circumstances, or could have been the COMBINATION of Remeron and Pristiq that lifted my depression? Thank you.
