Does Drinking Beer Cause Recurring Rashes In Underarms And Groin Area?

My husband has been getting severe rashes under his arm pits and in his groin area. He has picked up on his drinking lately and to me it seems that is when the rashes started bothering him again. Usually in time they decrease or go away for some period of time. I think they have given him some type of yeast medication, but nothing has helped much. He has been battling this for several years now. Could the beer be causing or irritating this?
