Does Electric Shaver Usage Prevent Acne?

My facial skin gets irritated and i develop acne after a shave with a razor blade so i dont get to shave very often. Will getting an electric shaver get rid of this problem for me?
I'm a 24 yr old Male, and i still do get acne and pimples on my face regularly. Please help!
