Does Fitting Mirena Coil When Uterus Is Perforated Cause Complications?

hi went in to hospital last week to have a merna coil fitted under general but my uterus was perforated and could not fit it as they saw the bowel. I have had in the past two c-sections. why did none of the doctors mention that it could had been a complication and how long will I still be having cramps, etc thank you
