Does Gall Bladder Affect Periods?

I have just had my gall bladder removed 2 weeks ago, after 6 months of having very irregular menstrual cycles I have received a very heavy one.
Before I had an attact of gall bladder symptoms my Gp suggest I was on early menopause as I was experiencing very irregular cycles and very heavy at that. Did the gall bladder play a part in this?
