Does Having Varicocele Affect The Sperm Count?

hello sir, i am aditya from hyderabad,recently i got a pain in my left testicle,i got it diagnosed,the doctor said that there is a grade 1 varicocele and an epidymic cyst(3*2 mm) , will these effect the sperm and how serious are these and will there be any need of surgery??
