Does High Level Of Myopia Effect Conception ?

Hi, I'm from Indonesia. My friend has extreme myopia ( - 8.00 diopters); and her doctor recommends her having a C-Section in this case, due to the problems the natural birth may cause to retina's detachment. She doesn't decide yet wether she will have a natural birth or c-section. Is that true that woman with high myopia can't have the natural birth?
