Does Hydrochloride Harm Skin When Applied?

I told my niece she could play with my makeup and when I wasnt looking she decided to put a bunch of Hydrochloride in her palm and used it on my face. I asked her what it was about mins into it. she showed me the tude and I immediately washed my face...I want to know if this will cause skin thinning or any other problems i've heard so much
