Does Intake Of Normoz Or Ginetet Act As A Contraceptive?

Hello Doctor,I have PCOD so I have irregular periods. I consulted a doctor.She prescribed me Normoz (1-0-1) and Ginette 35 (0-0-1) for balancing my hormonal level. It seems from my recent test that I have thyroid problem too. So I am taking a tablet for thyroid in my empty stomach. My doctor asked me not to take the contraceptual tablets for the first two days of my periods.I just want to know whether I am under Contraceptive? We are trying for a baby now. So will it work? Or we need to wait until the course of medication gets over.Please advise me.Thanks in advance, Nivedha
