Does Intake Of Prednisone For Injured Calf Muscle Have Side Effects?

I have an injury to my calf muscle and swelling in my leg. RX for 20 mg prednisone twice a day for 5 days. I am in very good health (was playing hockey when injured) and I am a little nervous to take this for 5 days with all the horror stories about side effects. Advice?
