Does Masturbation Cause A Bump Around The Clitoris?

I have only minor reaction to herpes which it never becomes a sore but just a little uncomfortable bump around my clitoris. Does masturbation cause this? Since I just feel irriated and minor pain is there something over the counter I can use. I have had this very seldom in the last 20 years
