Does Masturbation Cause Any Health Issues?

I am 43 and feel like I am doing something bad if I masterbate so I dont my friends say its normal to do it and use toys but I remember my mom always saying it was bad and a sin. I never had considered it while I had my husband but he died 3 yrs ago and I have not been with anyone else yet. Why do I feel bad about touching myself?
