Does Medical Cannabis Help Control Epilepsy. My Son Takes 3

Does medical cannabis help control epilepsy. My son takes 3 types of anti convulsants twice daily but still has seizures. He is not a candidate for surgery and tried a modified Atkins diet which was also unsuccessful. We live in New Zealand so we cannot obtain the CBD oil.
