Does Moist Wound Care Help In Complete Healing Of Wound?

I have a farmer friend who fell on a shovel about 2 weeks ago. He cut and bruised the palm of his hand. Most of the cut has healed nicely, but the center of the injury on the palm of his hand isn't healing. He keeps it covered with a dry bandage. Farmers are not real big about going to doctors. My question as I read about wound care is; What is moist wound care? He has been using hydrogen peroxide. Has now stopped using it as I told him that would eat new tissue if it was trying to form. What can he do to help the center of his injury to heal? Thank you. Leslie
