Does Morning After Pill Cause Immediate Bleeding?

Hi, I took the morning after pill on Sunday and I have experienced bleeding today. I am not due on my period for 11 days. I m not sure if this is my period or not. I ve read that you can bleed due to the pill. If this is so, when should I base my next period on?
