Does Orange Colored Bleeding Indicates A Matter Of Concern?

Hello, I am 36, no kids, regular periods until last month which was extremely light. This month I am 2-3 days late and this morning I am having bright red/ orange bleeding. I have taken two hpt's that were negative. Is there a possibility that I may be pregnant or is this an indication of something more serious?
