Does Poor Quality Of IUD Cause Bleeding During Sex?

hi.. so i have an IUD/mirena for birth control i have had it for 3 years more or less. the doctor that put it in has a lawsuit for my mirena not being FDA approved. i have not been for a check up in three years but recently i have been in a relationship and when he penetrates or even fools around i bleed and the next day have unusual discharge. what is the problem is it my IUD or should i be concerned>
