Does Progesterone Intake During Pregnancy Affect Blood Glucose Level?

I am 24 weeks pregnant. I was given the glucose tolerance test around 12-14 weeks along. At the time I was on 200mg of progesterone every night. I have read that this could have given high readings for the testing. My doctor has yet to take me off of the hormones, even though the baby is doing fine with no issues now maintaining the pregnancy, and diagnosed me with gestational diabetes. I am having to take insulin because my fasting levels were at the higher end of the normal range. I have taken myself off the hormones for about a week and my fasting levels have dropped significantly even without the insulin and usually stay lower throughout the day now. Should I ask for a new test without the hormones?
