Does Short Periods, Cramps And Vaginal Spotting Mean Ovarian Cysts?

I m a 20 year old female and not pregnant. When I last got my period, it lasted for only a day and a half. Since then I have had minor cramping in my pelvic area. Also whenever I have a bowel movement, I have vaginal spotting. I do have a history of ovarian cysts but none that have required surgery. I was wondering if these problems could be caused by an ovarian cysts or something else?
