Does Strep Throat Cause Runny Nose?

my 9 month old just went for his check up today. Today at 4pm had a fever of 102. Gave tylenol and temp went down to 100. Has runny clear nose. a child at his daycare was diagnosed with strep was wondering if strep throat can cause clear runny nose?
