Does Surgery For Vocal Cord Paralysis Ensure Ability To Speak

My husband (49 years) has been keeping ill health for some time. He has been experiencing throat problems - difficulty in speaking - for the last few weeks. On consulting an ENT specialist, he was advised to undergo a CT scan. The doctors have diagnosed the problem with him as vocal cord paralysis due to“Aortic Arch Aneurysm” and advised us to undergo for immediate surgery for repair of Aortic Arch Aneurysm. He underwent surgery for aneurism repair in november 2010.But after surgery, he has been experiencing difficulty in speaking. Sir,will it be ok? what shall we do? now he is in rest after surgery and we are not taking any treatment or medicines for vocal cord paralysis. Sir plese give suggestion...
